Using Google As A Proxy
Sometimes we need to access websites and locations that compromise our privacy. In these cases, we use a proxy. A proxy is basically a server that we use to access other sites so that we remain undetected.
Google has a lot a few tools that actually lets you use it as a web proxy. 90% of the users who use a proxy are those accessing Myspace.
Google Translate - as the name suggests, this tool allows you to convert text from one language to another. If you must know the mechanism, the text is taken from the source website into the Google servers which is then worked upon by the translators. The translated version is then sent back to your browser. However, this method will not retrive images, just text.
To use this, replace the http://www.domain.com with your needed web page -
http://www.google.com/translate_c?langpair=zh%7Cen&u=http://www.domain.com/
Google Wireless Transcoder - this service is meant for viewing web pages on slower mobile internet networks. The same principle as above works here. The images get scaled down and the page gets simplified but it looks pretty much the same.
