How I Made $2000 In 29 Days
I’m going to give you the full story with nothing left out on how I did this. You can do this too! I want to help you earn more money online than you are earning now. I started about 30 days back reading the latest edition of Joel Comm’s Adsense E-Book. As I read through it, I realized that all he had done was amplify the common knowledge that most people had about Adsense and that I was learning nothing new. I came to the conclusion that 90 percent of the webmaster community knew 90 percent of everything in that E-Book. Yet, I bought it wasting a lot of my money. I began to realize the power of E-books and how ClickBank publishers made money with them,
I sat down in the morning at my desk with a peice of paper and a pencil and I jotted down the reasons why I bought that e-book. I came to 3 main conclusions -
- It was hyped up. People always talked about his e-book on forums
- It was made as an authority. The attitude was, haven’t read Joel Comm? Dude! get outta here!
- The landing page was good.
Now, I knew I was too lazy to create an athmosphere for reasons 1 and 2, so I decided to aim for reason 3. You see, the more you persuade a person to do things, the less effective the action will be. I aimed for optimization, which not only lowered the work needed but also improved the results.
The E-book business is saturated, so coming up with the topic to write about that actually sells was complicated. I browsed forums looking for topics that people wanted answers to. I scourged over webmaster forums for about 3 days getting almost no ideas (I almost wrote a full lenght e-book on cookie stuffing). Then, I moved on to niche forums! Questions were there, with no answers! TADA! That was my cue. I immedietely got to work, writing down the main questions commonly asked, adding them on to SEO Book’s Keyword Suggestion Tool. I finally got a good topic in a hot niche. Before writing the e-book, I decided to get a domain for the e-book. I used Instant Domain Search and landed up with an excellent domain name.
I got around to making the landing pages for the website. I used a simple e-book template which is available for free on the net. You can just google the term and get a few samples. You can use the pointers I had specified on Creating Converting Landing Pages. I wrote up the E-book in a few hours. It had 42 pages with decent margins and images making it one of my best works.
I decided to hit on the niche forums, I posted like made there with differnt user accounts promoting the products and I got 52 sales in 27 days for $15 each. That’s $780 in sales! But I had to be the pro and so I add Adwords to it. I sold 34 copes or so from Adwords but I lost $300 in advertising fees. It was still a profit!
Then I decided to sell the site. I went over to a few webmaster forums and site point and PM’ed a few people and in a couple of days, BAM, I flipped the site for $1000.
$2000 in a month may not seem like much, but remember the only times I really had to work hard was during the posting period.
