If you tons of free time and you don’t mind mundane work, sure go ahead. But if you do have a job, then don’t bother trying it. It’s absolute crap. It’s a waste of money and time.

For every proper submission to a directory, you will get a backlink. But I would advice you to do some good content management and link building in that time. Directory farmed sites are not appreciated by Google. Content can not only give you longer advantages in higher indexed pages and more search engine traffic. In the long run, you will make more money online with content than links. With good content, you will get good links.
